Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using CalZA, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to all users including free and paid subscribers.
Free Trial
CalZA Pro and Ultimate include a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your chosen subscription will automatically begin and your Apple ID or Google Play account will be charged.
Subscription Pricing
- CalZA Pro — R79.99/month or R499/year
- CalZA Ultimate — R149/month or R999/year
- Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your account will be charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Cancellation
iOS: Cancel via iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → CalZA → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Cancel via Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → CalZA → Cancel.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are given for unused time.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play. Clear Signal Group does not process refunds directly. All purchases are subject to the refund policies of the respective app store.
Health Disclaimer
CalZA is a nutrition tracking tool and is not a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice. Calorie and macro estimates are approximations. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet.
User Content
Food photos and data you submit remain yours. By submitting photos for AI analysis, you grant us a limited licence to process them solely for the purpose of providing calorie estimates. We do not store or sell your food photos.
Prohibited Uses
- Do not reverse engineer or decompile the app
- Do not attempt to access other users' data
- Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Do not submit false or misleading information
Limitation of Liability
CalZA and Clear Signal Group (Pty) Ltd are not liable for any damages arising from use of the app, inaccurate calorie estimates, or reliance on nutritional information provided. The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Africa.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
